  Viola Mae Hamblen of Attica, age 73, died Tuesday evening, August 2, in Williamsport Community Hospital. She was born in Warren County, April 28, 1910, the daughter of Jesse E. and Elmira E. Lewis Hamblen. Miss Hamblen was a member of the Attica United Methodist Church, Business and Professional Women, VFW Auxiliary, Eagles Lodge Auxiliary and Women of the Moose, Warren County Historical Society and Fountain-Warren Council on the Aging. She was a graduate of Attica High School and Rainbow Beauty College in Indianapolis and was a beauty operator for 50 years.

  Surviving are four sisters, Bertha Kuntz of Bartonville, Illinois, Mabel Holloway, Opal Watkins and Josephine Pickrell, all of Williamsport; a brother, Joseph L. of Attica; and several nieces and nephews.

  Funeral services were held Friday morning at Fisher Funeral Home in Williamsport with Rev. Charles Anderson officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery at Williamsport. – thanks to S
